From an immersive audiovisual installation and performance, The Novels of Elsgüer (Episode 5); If I saw you, I don't remember translates the movements of an invisible body into visual data in the form of filamentary animations, intermittent reflections and flickering shadows. A true sensory experience, this work questions how contrasting individuals – visible or not – have the potential to create new spaces while questioning visibility, inclusion and exclusion. This is the fifth installment in a series of transdisciplinary installations begun in 2015 and co-created by Colombian artists Santiago Tavera and Laura Acosta, in collaboration with Milton Riaño. For the 7e Grande Rencontre des arte médiatiques, the video installation and performance piece es presented as a large scale single channel video projection on the façade of the Geoparc Mondial UNESCO de Percé, from September 1 to 5, 2022 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This was curated by Esther Bourdages.
